Inspired Wellness Philosophy

Inspired Wellness is discovering wellbeing of body, mind, and spirit. Inspired wellness is also self-healing through the assistance of divine intelligence and guidance from the Spirit of God. Inspiration is a “divine influence or action on a person believed to qualify him or her to receive and communicate with sacred revelation”. Listen to the still, sacred voice within with voracious, open receptivity, and receive revelation for your ultimate wellbeing.

To be inspired means being influenced, moved, or guided by divine inspiration or sacred revelation. Inspiration is enlivening, motivating, rejuvenating, life affirming, regenerative, and healing. To be inspired is to be in spirit! To be inspired is to breathe in the very atoms of God, lifting and expanding your awareness to the knowledge, wisdom, and understanding accessible in the sacred chamber of your heart. Inspiration brings you to seven “P”s: Presence, Power, Potential, Possibilities, Perfect Peace, and Passion! With the power of inspiration you can become whole, effortlessly and with grace.

The symbol of the cross has very personal meaning to me. This symbol arose while writing my dissertation on spiritual intention in healing. It came to my inner vision during the creative synthesis part of my dissertation,  as a huge golden  cross with rays of light emitting from the center. I drew a heart over the intersection of the vertical and horizontal axis, and I realized upon reflection that it represented the human body and the tree of life within, when the light of Spirit is revealed.

The cross represents the universal ancient symbol found as far back as the fifteenth century B.C. in Egypt, China, and Crete. It has great personal meaning to me of ascension, healing integration, new life in the spirit, and unity of the opposites.  The vertical axis represents the union of God and human beings, heaven and earth, and spirit and matter. The horizontal axis represents the union of opposites: past and future, disease and health, sadness and joy, yin and yang, darkness and light, the connection of one human to another, etc. The center of the cross represents the heart of unity, wholeness, and perfection that occurs in the present moment, the eternal now. The cross represents the return of the dawn of the light of Spirit. This light can enter into any darkness or disease within us, bringing us from pain, suffering, limitation, or lack, into freedom, healing and abundance of love, peace, and joy in our lives.

My personal roots are deeply anchored in original ancient Christian contemplative spirituality and my love for Jesus, but the tree of my life has many branches; each branch being one of the world’s religions and I enjoy eating the rich, flavorful fruit produced by their respective spiritual practices. “He showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God [in the heart] through the middle of the city [body]; also, on either side of the river, the tree of life, with its twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations” (Revelation 22:1-2).

My study of the world religions has enriched and added to my love for God, and the living presence of Jesus who has manifested himself to me many times. I love and respect all of God’s manifestations and aspects. Baskin Robbins has 33 flavors of ice cream. God has infinite flavors! “O taste and see that God is good!” (Psalms 34:8). The finite mind wishes to reduce God to a finite being so it can wrap its understanding around it. God is infinite, and you cannot put infinity in a box. You cannot put God under a microscope and expect to see infinity. Even physicists renormalize equations to take infinity out. You can take the finite out of the infinite but you cannot take the infinite out of the finite!

There is only one Source from which all religions and spiritual communities flow; the river of Spirit that flows through all. I call this ocean of infinite possibilities and unlimited potential the Unified Field of God (UFOG). Rumi said “Out beyond the concepts of right doing and wrong doing is a field. I will meet you there”. In the field we can meet God, each other, thoughts, feelings, experiences, concepts, and wounds and watch them all dissolve into nothingness and arise anew as we choose to consciously create a new world for the highest good of all. “Maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit…one God…above all, and through all, and in all” (Ephesians 4:3-6). There is one ground of being where all arises into form and recedes back into formlessness.

I have studied and experienced spiritual practices of most of the faith traditions and find that each religion has truth, beauty and richness, as well as some distortions and errors. Religion is the outer, external form, containing the specific rituals, laws, creeds and beliefs that are different from other religions. Spirituality, on the other hand, is the inner connection to God, the direct individualized experience of the living active presence of God. At the mystical level there are similarities rather than differences between religions.

God does not show partiality (Galatians 2:6, 3:28) and the Spirit of God has appeared in many different forms, at different times and places, in the form that would be the most accepted by that particular culture in history. Christ was not even recognized by his own followers when Jesus returned to them after the resurrection. The bible says he appeared in many different forms. Christ appeared as water coming out a rock in the desert when that was the most appropriate form! (1 Corinthians 10:4). Each of us is, in a way, a different form of Christ; the One manifesting in infinite guises.

Jesus taught that we are all one. “In that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you” (John 14:20). Jesus was Jewish, but he never asked what religion someone was before he healed or delivered them. He did not ask for a new religion to be started in his name. Jesus looked at the heart and the intention of the heart, not what outward religion you resonate with or practice. Alcoholics Anonymous speaks of the “God of your understanding”, as there are infinite ways of perceiving or understanding God. This is similar to the Jewish description of God as “the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob/Israel”. They were not speaking of three Gods, but the One God who is understood, interpreted, perceived and personally experienced by each person differently.

Ultimate wellbeing is living in constant, conscious, connection, and communication with the presence of the God of your understanding and the conscious awareness of Spirit within!

However, many don’t believe there is a God at all, many feel disconnected, doubtful, or unworthy, and many are unable to sustain a connection with God. Many are identified only with their limited, lessor mind, or ego. Many are having challenges, problems, or diseases, and wonder if God has abandoned them. The first step in healing is to turn away from the outward challenge and move towards God within your heart center. Then you can bring the power of the light of Spirit into the area of darkness or disease through spiritual intentionality. The wound is the portal to healing and connection to God. The wound is the gateway to discovering God and the Power of Spirit, if you have ears to hear and eyes to see. If you take one step towards God, Spirit will take 10,000 towards you! A journey of ten thousand miles begins with just one step.

Research has started to show that stress is the cause of most disease, but few are asking what is the root cause of stress. I believe that the number one cause of stress is separation from Spirit and the truth of our own being. Treatments that do not include the Spirit of God are inherently incomplete, limited and lacking in power. I believe that the awareness of our spiritual inner nature must be included into the present practice of medicine, psychology, and complementary alternative healthcare. Spiritual medicine, that goes beyond traditional and even energy medicine, should not replace allopathic healthcare, but be included in it! The Spirit of God is needed to evolve, revitalize, regenerate, and empower medicine, healthcare, and humanity.

Inspired wellness is an individualized, inspirational, revelatory prescription for your health, healing, and wholeness without side effects or iatrogenic harm. The Spirit of God is the true Counselor, Guide, and Healer to lead you to your highest good and the highest good of all. You can find healing, peace, love, joy, and harmony  through uncovering the blocks or obstructions in your body, energy field, emotions, thoughts, beliefs, soul, or your connection to God. With the obstacles removed to your connection to Spirit, you will be able to find inner guidance, vitality, meaning, and purpose in your life and be free to live a life of contentment and fulfillment.

What is your heart’s desire?
What is your passion?
Do you have a deep soul hunger for something more, or different in your life?
Are you seeking after God, or the truth about God?
Does your heart long for deeper connection to God, yourself, your spouse or partner, friends, or nature?
Do you desire greater intimacy, or the ability to give or receive love?
Do you yearn for an inner peace and serenity?
Do you want to be free to enjoy life and create the life of your dreams?
Do you wish to find your purpose and be able to give your gifts to the world?
Do you want to be healed and be made whole?

Many of us have a difficult time knowing what it is we really want or need. Or we have had the experience of getting what we think we want, only to find that it did not bring us the lasting happiness or fulfillment that we had hoped for. Thankfully, the Spirit inside of you does know what you individually need to heal and thrive! God is the healer and is greater than any problem, challenge, or disease. You can have access to this innate healing presence within you. Thank God! You can heal into wholeness, oneness, freedom, and wellness. You can be reunited and reconciled with the Most High God and the ground of your being. In truth they are one in the same!

“Come to me all who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest, take my yoke, learn from me, I am gentle and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke (yoga or union) is easy, and my burden is light” Matthew 11:28-30

“Seek first his kingdom and right connection, and all these things will be yours as well” Matthew 6:33

Wholeness is inspired wellness, is union, is right relationship, is yoga, is yoked, is one with God and all that is created, and not yet created. “Unthink at least once per day” as Alan Watts said. Unlearn into being natural and whole! Unfold into the truth of the wholeness you already are! In Spirit the ordinary becomes extra-ordinary, the natural becomes super-natural, and life becomes simple and powerful. Say yes to Inspired Wellness!!!
