What is in a name? Everything and nothing! It is everything if you identify with only your body and this lifetime. It is nothing if you see it as a tiny part of the magnificent, vast spiritual being expanded to include the infinite cosmos. It is everything if it is a description of your true nature. It is nothing if you are reborn and transformed into new being every moment!
A name signifies something, but by its definition does not reflect the infinity of the unnamed mystery or unknown. A name is a label, title, definer, descriptor, identifier, or a way to differentiate one person or thing from another. But does a label encompass all that a person or thing is? A name is often changed when there is a spiritual transformation, but does the name define the transformation or does the transformation define the name? Jacob became Israel, Abram became Abraham and Simon became Peter. Stars often change their name when they go into the entertainment industry. What then is in the name of the Infinite Light that illuminates even the infinite Stars in the sky?
Jesus has an infinite numbers of names because Yeshua is timeless, spaceless, infinite Spirit who was manifest or incarnate into a finite body to show what is possible and true for all human beings. His names include: Immanuel, King, Christ, Lamb of God, Son of God, Son of Man, Lion of Judah, Alpha and Omega, Master, Lord, Almighty, Word of God, Bride, Bridegroom, Root of David, etc. Every language has a different word for the historical man Jesus. It is Yeshua in Hebrew and Isa or Yasu in Arabic. Christ is HaMashiach in Hebrew and al-Masih in Arabic. If Jesus spoke Aramaic and wrote in Hebrew, then the name that is above all names is not Jesus, as there was no “J” in the Hebrew alphabet. The English translated name Jesus has unfortunately been desecrated, used as an expletive to curse, used to divide, conquer, and obtain power for nefarious, selfish purposes. The Jesus that is so often spoken of in this world is not Yeshua HaMashiach, the anointed, crowned Messiah, but the antichrist or ego disguised as Jesus. No wonder most of the world cannot see the hands of Jesus holding our world and every person in it. They are mocking or worshiping the alias or imposter instead of the true incarnated God.
I propose a revival and renewal of the true teachings of Yeshua, apart from the politics, big business, distortions, false dogma and doctrine, and divisions. I propose that we use the original Hebrew name of the man who incarnated on earth over 2000 years ago, carrying the fullness of deity and the perfection of human beings: Yeshua. The name Jesus, used to divide, conquer, kill, convert, burn, swear, hate and separate, should be retired and the original “name above all names” should be reinstated! Translations and mistranslations of mistranslations have come to diminish the power of the true name of God. As Rumi said “Silence is the language of God, all else is poor translation”. The truth about Yeshua can be taught by the Holy Spirit in the sacred, innermost sanctuary of the secret heart. “Teach me wisdom in my secret heart” Psalm 51:6
Beyond translations or mistranslations, a name only points to the thing it describes, and is not the thing itself. Yeshua has been called God, Prophet, Teacher, Rabbi, Master, and the Messiah, yet he is so much more. He told the Samaritan woman at the well that he was “that Messiah…he who is called Christ” (John 4:25-26). Yeshua never said he was to be worshiped as God, only that he reflected the Father, and if you saw Yeshua, you were seeing the invisible Father. Yeshua taught that the Father was greater than himself, and that he could do nothing without the Father working in and through him. Yeshua also said that it was good that he was leaving the earth because he was going to send the greater Holy Spirit to counsel, teach, and live within our bodies. Yeshua made it clear that God was infinite Spirit, not a person to be exalted. “I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. And whoever says a word against the Son of man will be forgiven; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or the age to come” (Matthew 12:31-32). Yeshua said it was not blasphemy if against Jesus or the Father but only if against the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit, the feminine aspect of the Source of God, the invisible Presence and Power that is hidden within all people and permeates the entire cosmos is the Most High, not the various manifestations or incarnations of the One Spirit. The Most High is the invisible Unseen, the formless, still, silent ground of being, and unified field of God that all things emerge out of, including light, energy and consciousness! Yeshua said “The hour is coming and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for such the Father seeks to worship him. God is spirit and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth” (John 4:23-24). Yeshua makes it very clear that even the Father seeks to worship the Spirit, the Unseen, Invisible and Infinite Spirit. “The Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God” (1 Corinthians 2:10).
When I say the word “Yeshua” slowly, and meditate on the word, I feel expanded, light, connected and made whole. When I draw the word out, I hear “yes” “you” “are”. Yeshua is, and you are also that! “Yes shhhhhhh oo ah” is the other message that arises when I meditate on the name. It is a big “YES” followed by “shhhh” to be stilled into silence, an “oo” in adoration of love, and “ah” to indicate the heart opening to receive the kingdom of God! “Be still and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10). “I am that I am” is what God told Moses his name was. Yeshua is the great “I am” who came to teach and raise us up to be our own ” I am” as well! Here is to the Great I Am! YES! Shhhhhhhh! Oo! Ah!!!
So cute! She is precious! The two year old’s brother in this next video can be heard saying “ah ah ah”. “AHHH”! Now that is a primal name of God 🙂
