New Town

I was struck this morning when I read Jesus’ words, “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hid” Matthew 5:14. I was given these words this morning and as I pondered a city set in heaven on earth, a place set above in heaven existing here on earth, a City of the Sun, I saw the words “Newtown, CT.” If anything good is to come out of this tragedy, it will come through a new way of thinking for all human beings on this earth; a new mind-set, a new higher Mind with the Higher Thoughts of the Divine Mind.

Another verse came to mind, “In that day…one of the cities will be called the City of the Sun. In that day there will be…a pillar to the Lord…when they cry to the Lord because of oppressors he will send them a savior, and will defend and deliver them. And the Lord will make himself known…and they will know the Lord in that day…and the Lord will smite Egypt [tragedy, senseless violence, shocking massacres, bondage, oppression], smiting and healing, and they will return to the Lord, and he will heed their supplications and heal them” Isaiah 19:18-25. The key is a return.

The City of the Sun is a New Town (instead of the old Newtown, Aurora, or Columbines) filled with the newness of the Spirit of the Living God. There is only One Solution. We must shift gears. We must have a game-changer. We must:

• Change our way of thinking; change our mind; renew our mind in the Mind Above (shift gears) resulting in:
• Transformation; Transfiguration; Transmutation (game-changer) resulting in:
• Changed Heart resulting in:
• Rivers of Living Water flowing out of our hearts instead of the old secrets and issues such as mental illness, psychological issues, emotional issues, childhood trauma, financial issues, relationship issues, spiritual issues, etc., flowing out and wounding others

When Jesus started his ministry he said, “Repent, the kingdom of God is at hand.” Repent is translated from the word metanoia, meaning to change your thinking; to change your mind; to turn from your old trajectory and twisted thinking to a new way. The place to start at the dark place of increasing tragedy and sorrow is to repent. In my darkest hour, I had a diving encounter with the Living God. In our darkest hours as a world we can:

1. Change our way of thinking. God says, “Give me your mind and I will give you Mine” Receive the upgrade!
2. With our renewed Mind, we are now transformed into the image and likeness of God. Receive the transfiguration!
3. With transformation, our heart is changed. God says, “Give me your heart and I will give you Mine.” Receive the upgrade now!
4. With the Heart of God within our body, thoughts become one with the Higher Thoughts of God, our words flow from the abundant, loving, powerful Heart of God, and our actions flow from the Living Stream of the River of God’s Life in our High Heart aflame with the Love of God.

“The path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until full day…My son, be attentive to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Let them not escape from your sight; keep them within your heart. For they are life to her who finds them, and healing to all your flesh. Keep your heart with all vigilance; for from it flow the springs of life…let your eyes look directly forward, and your gaze be straight before you. Take heed to the path of your feet, then all your ways will be sure. Do not swerve to the right or to the left” Proverbs 4:18-27.

“Yea, O people in Zion (the City of the Sun); you shall weep no more. He will surely be gracious to you at the sound of your cry; when he hears it, he will answer you. And though the Lord give you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, yet your Teacher will not hide himself any more, but your eyes will see your Teacher. And your ears will hear a word behind you, saying, ‘This is the way, walk in it,’ when you turn to the left or the right…when the towers fall [pride, ego, arrogance, separation from God,  self-reliance instead of God-reliance, looking to idols to supply needs instead of God as Jehovah Jirah, the provider and sustainer]. Moreover the light of the moon will be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun will be sevenfold, as the Light of seven days, in the day that the Lord binds up the hurt of his people and heals the wounds inflicted by his blow” Isaiah 30:19-26.

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path” Psalm 119:105

Repent, for the kingdom of Light is at hand! Change your way of thinking right now! The answer to the unthinkable is: Trust God in what is beyond human understanding, beyond human wisdom, and beyond human comprehension. The Key: change your mind. We are transformed by the renewal of our minds. When we shift gears to the higher view from the mind of Christ, we are able to see as God sees. We are able to see the bigger picture. We are able to trust the Will of God on earth AS it is in heaven: perfect love that casts out all fear; perfect peace that only the Prince of Peace can give that surpasses ALL understanding, perfect joy that contains all the fullness of God, and perfect harmony as we change our way of thinking and sing the new song of our changed heart as it was transformed by the renewal of our mind. When we put on the mind of Christ, we receive the single eye that is full of light and our body becomes sound and full of light. When our body becomes full of light we become a city set on a hill, a light house to shine light into the darkness of tragedy. This higher mind of Christ, with its body of Light, is contagious. It is healing, comforting and is the balm of Gilead for those who are hurting, broken-hearted, and suffering in darkness.

Arise, shine, Newtown, and set your mind on things above, and let the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, the Helper, the Counselor, fill you with the healing presence of God that transforms all darkness by filling you with the Light of God. When you are filled, your Light overflows and becomes a city of Light, set on a hill. You become a New Town, a City of the Sun, a garden of light in the new heaven on earth now (NHOEN).

• Shift gears: change your mind
• Game-changer: transform by renewing your mind in the Mind of God
• Receive your changed heart filled with Light
• Become the Light of the world; a city set on a hill that cannot be hid.
• Arise, shine, for your Light has come!

“For behold, the day comes, burning like an oven, when all the arrogant and all evildoers [ignorant, unconscious of Truth of God, asleep, dead to the Truth] will be stubble; the day that comes shall burn them up, says the Lord of hosts, so that is will leave them neither root or branch. But for you who fear my name the sun of righteousness shall rise, with healing in its wings. You shall go forth leaping like calves from the stall” Malachi 4:1-6.

Turn your hearts now. How do you turn your hearts? Change your way of thinking by putting on the Higher Mind of Christ, set your mind on things above, and transform by renewing your mind. The transformation is a transfiguration where your heart is changed. The hardened, defended, walled-up, protected, broken-heart that has patches and scars is transformed into the Heart of God. Receive the life of God now by changing your mind (repent) and receive the kingdom of heaven on earth now.

Repent, for the kingdom of light is at hand. Change your way of thinking and become the light of the world. Change your mind and become the city set on the hill shining Light for all to see in the darkness. Turn on the Lights people of earth. Be the Light! Be a city of Light! Be a New Town now!

Trust God until you begin to see as Christ sees. Jesus repositioned God from heaven to earth. Christ repositioned heaven to earth. It is already done. The finished work of the cross is already complete. The finished work of Christ and the new heaven on earth is already here. Open your eyes and see! Come and See! Come! And the Spirit and Bride both say, “Come!” The banquet table is set and you keep making excuses. STOP making excuses! Stop defending the world and the old ways of thinking! Stop! Turn, return, change your way of thinking. Transform by the renewal of your mind. See as Christ sees with a single eye full light and you will be contagious, infecting all you meet with the Light of God!!! Arise, Shine!!! You are a New Town, a new city set on a heavenly hill on earth as it is in heaven. You are a City of the Sun. You are the Light of the world!!!

Do not battle the darkness any longer. Turn on the Light!!!! Come Holy Spirit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Say, “I believe; I receive” now! In the midst of this darkness of Sandy Hook and hurricane Sandy, God says, “I am still the Light and you are also the Light of the world if you will just believe and receive the Word!” Sandy the hurricane and Sandy Hook both have sand in common. Sand is an irritant. When it gets in your food at the beach it ruins the food. When it gets in your shoe it causes a sore or wound. When it gets in an oyster it creates the pearl of great price. It is time to once and for all let the sand of tragedy form a pearl.

“Come, I will show you the Bride, the wife of the Lamb.”…He showed me the holy city coming down out of heaven from God, having the glory of God, its radiance like a most rare jewel…And the twelve gates were twelve pearls, each of the gates made of a single pearl [pearl of great price], and the street of the city was pure gold, transparent as glass” Rev 21:9-21

“And I saw no temple in the city, for its temple is the Lord God the Almighty AND the Lamb. And the city has no need of sun or moon to shine upon it, for the glory of God is its light and its lamp is the Lamb” Rev 21:22-25

With four days to the new, brilliant Dawn of the new Light of God exponentially increasing on earth as the world comes into alignment with the central Sun, it is time to stop, drop, humble ourself, repent, surrender, let go and receive the finished work of the gospel: new creation, new nature, new Mind, new Heart and the new Life of God in our body. Believe and receive ALL the fullness of God in your being (Ephesians 3:19). “Put off the old nature and put on the new nature, which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its creator…Christ is ALL, and in ALL” (Colossians 3:10-11). “Behold, I make all things new” Revelation 21:5.

Surrender the past now. Surrender the way of human wisdom. Surrender human understanding. Surrender human knowledge and transform by the renewal of your mind in the Higher Mind of God now. Shift gears now! Let God give you her perfect Heart now. Perfect Love casts out all fear. When the perfect comes the imperfect must flee. The Perfect Mind has already come and has already conquered and overcome the world. Surrender now! Let God battle for you with drawn sword while you rest in the finished work of the cross. God battles and your only job is to Love! Your two commandments are to Love God and Love one another. Period. When you see as God sees, you will love as God Loves. When you Love as God Loves, you will shine as God Shines! Be the Light of the world. Be the New Town, the city set on the hill, the City of the Sun! The Sun has risen with healing in its wings. Rejoice! Do not fear; for I bring you good tidings of great joy!

“Arise, Shine! for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. For behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and thick darkness the people; but the Lord will rise upon you, and his glory will be SEEN upon you. And they will come to your light and the brightness of you rising…then you shall see and be radiant, your heart shall thrill and rejoice; because the abundance of the sea will be turned to you, the wealth of the nations shall come to you” Isaiah 60:1-5

“The Lord said ‘Bless the people; you shall say to them: The Lord bless you and keep you: The Lord make his face to SHINE upon you, and be gracious to you: The Lord lift up his countenance upon you, and give you PEACE…put my name/nature upon the people and I will bless them” Numbers 6:22-27.

Arise, Shine! The most powerful tool for healing is forgiveness. The way to forgiveness is to ask the Forgiver, in the being of Jesus to come into your body and to the places of darkness and unforgiveness now. Place both your hands over your solar plexus, the area above your umbilicus, the area that houses your spleen and liver, and invite the Forgiver to search your body for any area of darkness now. He will do it! Feel the shift in your body. Feel the peace that surpasses all understanding. Let the Light overcome all darkness within you. It is already done without, now you must be the one to ask and receive the Light within your body. Become the light of the world now (Matthew 5:14). Receive the priestly blessing now and let the Light of God shine upon your face now! Be blessed and brought to peace. Become the Light of the world. Let your light shine before men. Be a City of Light now! Arise; Shine!!!!
