Essential Soul

There are body appetites, soul appetites and spiritual appetites. Most people focus on the body, but it will never give you the satisfaction you desire. The middle man is key here, the transformed soul composed of our heart, mind and will, reunites our body and spirit. If you focus on the spirit, you end up with spiritual bypass, denial, hypocrisy, avoidance, suppression or repression of the body and/or soul.

Jesus said, “Come to me and I will give you rest for your soul.” The ascended Jesus is the living One given the keys and all the power and authority in heaven and on earth. Jesus is the key to satisfying our soul; he feeds and waters our soul which allows our heart, mind and will to rest, which allows our body and spirit to rest. A tranquil mind is life for the body; a peaceful heart is balm for the mind; a will at rest in our Father is a satisfied spirit! A satisfied soul is a happy body and cheerful countenance.

Body appetites are not quenched by feeding instincts, urges and feelings. Addictions are not cured by satisfying body appetites. Spiritual longings and yearnings are not satisfied without a soul transformation. Jesus is the balm for our soul; the Christ is the transformative power and wisdom to transform our heart, mind and will. Jesus is the mediator to take us directly to our Father where we reunite in perfect oneness: body, soul and spirit is unified and rests in our Father’s heart once again. “Our hearts are restless until we rest in Thee” Augustine

We come to Jesus and he gives us rest for our souls by feeding us his bread from heaven and living water. He satisfies our soul by bringing our mind to peace in our transformed heart and unites our personal will with his Father’s higher Will. Our transformed soul is reunited with our Father in perfect oneness when we receive Jesus’ glory into our body, soul and spirit. We receive his manifest presence into our body, soul and spirit through faith and we become one with his Father and God! “The glory which thou has given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one” John 17:22.

We die with Jesus, resurrect with Jesus and ascend with Jesus; we are lifted up, seated in heavenly places with Jesus, and hid with Christ in God. The three (you, Jesus and our Father) become one as you and Jesus become one new “man”! The two become one: you and Jesus, making a new creature, the new creation! You are hid with Christ in God (Colossians 3:3)! Conscious awareness of being surrounded by Christ in God is the most restful, safe, secure, blissful place of awareness/being possible! Know the truth and the truth will set you free!

“Christ dwells in your heart through faith; that you being rooted and grounded in Love, may have the power to comprehend…and know the Love of Christ, which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God” Ephesians 3:14-21

Beyond gnosis or knowledge, is Christ’s Love! When you invite Christ to live in your heart you receive the power to comprehend and the wisdom to know the truth so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God! Only being filled with all the fullness of God will totally satisfy a human being! Your body will crave, hunger and thirst and never be satisfied for long until your soul is satisfied in Christ, Christ in you! Only Christ in you can be perfectly one with his holy heavenly Father! The reconciliation is already done by the finished work of the cross; we each have to make it real, manifest, by surrendering body, soul and spirit; humbling ourself; acknowledging we can’t do it by ourself, and inviting and welcoming Jesus into our heart to begin the process of transformation! We have to work out what God worked in us (Phil 2:12-13).

When we are able to fully receive the Love our Father has for all his children without barriers, we move beyond gnosis or knowledge to Love, beyond understanding to Peace, and beyond body appetites to soul satisfaction or rest! We move beyond religion to personal, intimate relationship with our Father through the Son! Jesus is the way, truth and life of God that brings us back to wholeness, completeness, perfection in Christ, freedom and oneness! We are saved, not by religion, but by the Word, Faith and Grace of God; the finished work of Christ: his blood/DNA, word/life and spirit, water/transformed into wine, and holy Spirit!

“Put off your old nature which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and put on the new nature, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness (right relationship) and holiness (wholeness/oneness)” Ephesians 4:22-24

“Be sanctified by Christ, cleansed by the washing of the water with the word, presented as a spotless bride…nourished and cherished…members of Christ’s body…the two become one flesh. This mystery is a profound one” Eph 5:26

Christ in our heart, mind and will, satisfies our soul! Come to Jesus the Christ and receive rest for your soul! The soul leads us to love, peace, and joy resting in God! A cheerful heart has a continual feast (Prov 15:15)! When the mind is at peace, the body is at peace! A tranquil mind gives life to the flesh (Prov 14:30). “A glad heart makes a cheerful countenance, but by sorrow of heart the spirit is broken” Prov 15:13. The soul is key for the body and spirit; our soul rests in Christ and our body and spirit are at peace and complete, free and whole, made one with God! We are crowned by Christ with Wisdom and Power, reconnected with Abba Father, and live as one new creation on the Vine; branches bearing spiritual fruit of the tree of life!

Come, I will give you rest for your soul! The righteous, in right relationship with God, will have a satisfied appetite (Prov 13:25): a soul at rest in God! Our hearts lie open to Sheol and Abbadon (Hades/Death and the Destroyer Proverbs 15:11) until we let Jesus shut the door which no one can open, and open the door to our Father and heaven which no one can shut (Rev 3:7-8)!

Come to Jesus, receive rest for your soul! Receive the balm for your soul and your heart, mind and will can rest in love (well watered), peace (satisfaction) and joy (true fulfillment)! “These things I have spoken to you, that my Joy may be in you, and that your Joy may be full” John 15:11. Your body and spirit will flourish with your soul at rest in God! Wisdom builds your body temple and the Power of God keeps it whole, complete and lacking nothing. The River of crystal clear Love, Peace and Joy from the Throne keeps you a well-watered garden that flourishes, blossoms and fruits (Rev 22)! When we remain in the Truth, conscious awareness that we live, move and have our being in Christ in God, we rest in perfect oneness in the kingdom, power and glory of God on earth as it is in heaven!
