There is a lot of fasting going on this time of year.  Many start fasts in January to clear out the holiday excesses or join group fasts in churches. Starting February 10th there is a 40 day fast in San Diego called “Forty Days of Hope” (http://40daysofhope.net), yet Jesus said when the Bridegroom is present we feast, not fast. I know most people experience the absence of God or a separation, placing him “somewhere out there.” But when the fire falls and the Holy Spirit breathes you and flows rivers of living water in you, you no longer place the glory, the manifest Presence of God “out there somewhere” but within! You begin to practice the Presence!

When we get up every morning and enter into devotions, feeding on the Word and drinking the water of life, the glorified Spirit of Christ, the river of water of life flows anew! We are revived, renewed, regenerated and reformed anew! Do you think revival and reformation occur within before it can fully manifest on the outside? When we lift our head in reverential awe, close our eyes and KNOW, the King of glory enters anew; there is a river of light that flows! The King of glory comes within if indeed you have made him King of kings and Lord of lord and you realize you are a king and a lord in union with Christ, in LOVE with his Father! When we return to our First Love, all things become possible!

“Lift your heads, O gates! and be lifted up, O ancient doors! that the King of glory may come in” Psalm 24:7, 9

We practice the Presence and discipline our mind, take every thought captive, train our senses, fix our eyes on Jesus, set our mind on the things above, on heavenly things; set our mind on the things of the Spirit, have the spiritual intention to know God, be still and know! We strive only to enter His Rest; we labor or effort to enter our Father’s Rest or Jesus’ Shalom/Peace! Then we rest in the seventh day: we die with Jesus on the first day, descend with him to the depths on the second, resurrect on the third day with him, ascend on the fourth, receive grace from the Throne of Grace at the mercy seat of God on the fifth, receive the Holy Spirit and fire on the sixth to consume all that is Adamic or the seed of satan in us, to become a child of God, a new creation in the image and likeness of Christ, so we can REST on the seventh day now and for eternity!!!

“For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. To set the mind on the flesh is DEATH, but to set the mind on the things of the Spirit is LIFE and PEACE. For the mind set on the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law (spiritual laws), indeed it cannot; and those who are in the flesh cannot please God. But you are not in the flesh, you are IN THE SPIRIT, if in fact the Spirit of God DWELLS IN YOU. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him” Romans 8:5-8

“The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil. No one born of God commits sin, for God’s nature abides in him and he cannot sin because he is born of God. By this it may be seen who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil” 1 John 3:10

The kingdom of God comes alive within when you receive his Christ who brought heaven to earth. Christ Jesus’ righteousness comes in when you give him your sin; comes in with the King of glory when you seek his kingdom and righteousness first and FIND the hidden treasure, the hidden splendor, the hidden glory, the manifest Presence of God within! We are the field that Jesus bought for the pearl hidden within; the spark of God, the flame that was put out by walking like Adam in darkness by physical sight. We all walk in mistaken identity until we wake up and receive Christ’s light; receive his Awareness, Truth, Spirit, and our spiritual senses open and activate! When we have his Word written on our heart and mind, his Life and Spirit in our soul, we can begin to perceive as he perceived! We get foretastes of glory! We taste and see God!

When we KNOW Christ in us and abide in Him, we can say with Paul, “It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me” As our separate self or ego decreases, Christ increases in us!

“Christ is all, and in all” Colossians 3:11

The prodigal son was on a forced fast in the far country; he was dead spiritually, alive only in the flesh, realizing even the pigs had it better than him. “I will arise and go to my father…he arose and came to his father” Luke 15:18, 20. The Father sees us with compassion and comes running, embraces and kisses us! When we confess like the prodigal son, “I have sinned against heaven and before you; I am no longer worthy to be called your son,” the Father calls for a great feast, robes us with Christ’s Light, puts a signet ring on our right ring finger designating we are his royal son and a wedding ring on our left designating we are his bride, wife of the Lamb, and the gospel of peace on our feet so we can walk in the same manner as Jesus, in the light, doing the works he did and even greater works because he is now perfectly one with our Father on his Throne!

“Awake, O sleeper, arise from the dead, and Christ will give you Light!” Ephesians 5:14

Jesus bought our field (body) and uncovers the hidden treasure: Christ in you! We enter the many-membered Body of Christ; in the Son we are in the Father! “If you have seen me you have seen the Father” “I and the Father are one” “In that day, you will know that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you”

We feast when we know Christ is in us, meaning we are in his Father! “They began to make merry…make merry with God’s friends…make merry and be glad for you were dead and now are alive; were lost, and now found” Luke 15:24-32. “And God said, ‘you are always with me, and all that is mine is yours” Luke 15:31

Everyone is invited to the “great dinner” or the “wedding banquet” or the “marriage supper of the Lamb” but most people make excuse why they can’t come to our Father through marrying or yoking or joining our soul to Christ Spirit. “Blessed is he who shall eat bread in the kingdom of God!” Luke 14:15. “Come for ALL is now ready” Luke 14:17

Come Home to God in your heart now and feast!!!
