the Kiss of Life

“O that you would kiss me with the kisses of your mouth! For your love is better than wine, your anointing oils are fragrant, your name is oil poured out; therefore the Bride loves  you” Song of Songs 1:2-3

Breathe on me breath of God! fill me with Life anew, that I may love what you love and do what you do. Breathe on me breath of God! until my heart is pure, until I will Thy Will,  to do and to endure. Breathe on me breath of God! till I am wholly Thine, till all this earthly part of me glows with your fire divine. Breathe on me breath of God! so shall I never die, but live with Thee the perfect life of Thine eternally. (Edwin Hatch, 1878)

Crucified, buried, resurrected, ascended, glorified Christ Jesus comes to us to put His Peace, His Shalom, into us and Breathe his holy kiss, the Kiss of Life, to receive the Holy Spirit Breath of Life.

“Jesus came and said, ‘Peace be with you’ and again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I send you. And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and said to them, ‘Receive the Holy Spirit’ ” John 20:19-22

Jesus says, “If any one thirst, let him come to me and drink. He who BELIEVES me, ‘Out of his heart shall flow rivers of living water.’ Now this he said about the SPIRIT whom those who believe in him can receive after he was glorified” John 7:37-39

Jesus says, “And behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you; but stay in the city, until you are clothed with power from on high” Luke 24:49

We stay in the old city until God sends us the New City, clothing us with Christ Spirit and filling us with His presence (glory), His kingdom (his righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit), and His power (fire that comes burning like an oven burning all the dross and leaving refined gold) to see as Christ sees, hear the Father, and spiritually perceive from our redeemed heart.

“I will pour my Spirit upon all flesh” Acts 2:17

“You make me full of gladness with your presence” Acts 2:28

The Joy of glorified Christ Jesus is our strength! Those who mock or scoff at this Joy have not the Holy Spirit and we have compassion and forgive those who try to quench the Spirit of God.

“Awake O sleeper and arise from the dead and Christ will give you light” Ephesians 5:14

“I saw a light from heaven, brighter than the sun, shining round me. And when we had all fallen to the ground, I heard a voice…I am Jesus…rise and stand upon your feet; for I have appeared to you for this purpose: to serve and bear witness…open their eyes so they will turn from darkness of light and from the power of satan to God, to receive forgiveness of sins and a PLACE among those sanctified by FAITH IN ME” Acts 26:13-18

The River of Water of Life coming down from heaven out of God is pure Love, better than the old wine of religion. It is pure Light that awakens, enlightens, radiates, heals, transforms, transfigures and reforms us in the image and likeness of Christ. The River of Water of life is pure Spirit, the kiss of Life, the Breath of New Life, born anew from above, the fragrant oil, the fire of glory presence that refreshes, renews, regenerates, and sustains Christ in you in pure relationship with Christ in God!

kissed by love; rescued by love’s hands; forged by fire; this love cannot be slain and has no end; kissed by the Son greater than seven suns; melted heart that dances as mourning turns to Joy; touched, healed and reconciled with the Father; married to the Son; in one Body and one Spirit; I am so in Love with you Jesus!
