“When we sing “Fill This Temple”, our cry is not for God to fill a building made with human hands, but to fill us, His sons with the fullness of nature and character. The ‘temple’ referred to in this song is not a reference to the physical structure or building in which we gather, but a reference to us, the living stones, sons of God, who like Christ was, are exact representations of His glory – His character, nature and essence. The temple can be personal (1 Cor. 3:16) or corporate (i.e. local church or city church) (2 Cor. 6:16).
