Clothing is Not Optional

“Lo, I am coming like a thief. Blessed are those who are awake, keeping their garments that they may not go naked and be seen exposed” Revelation 16:15

Be clothed with the Son, like the woman in Revelation 12:1.

“The anointing…binds up the brokenhearted… proclaims the year of the LORD’s favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn; to appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified….I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall exult my God; for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation, he has covered me with the robe of righteousness…as a garden, so the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth” Isaiah 61:1-11

Be clothed with Christ; God clothed Gideon with Himself (Judges 6:34)

“Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassion, kindness, lowliness, meekness, and patience, forbearing one another and if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you…And above all these things put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And let the Peace of Christ rule in your hearts…and be thankful. Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly” Colossians 3:12-16

Be clothed with holy Spirit fire and His glory within.

“I will be to her a wall of fire round about, says the LORD, and I will be the glory within her” (Zechariah 2:5)

The Son of Righteousness rises with healing in His wings in those with reverential awe of God, and they go forth leaping with joy like newborn calves (Malachi 4:2)

In Christ, the glory of God is our light within,

the Lamb of God is our lamp within (Revelation 21:23)

Our internal lamp is lit with the glory of Christ in us; God’s present Presence in us through the Holy Spirit.

Jesus says, “I am the light of the world” and “You are the light of the world; a city set on a hill”

“Arise, shine; for your light has come and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you” Isaiah 60:1

“Awake O sleeper, and arise from the dead and Christ will give you light”

The Father of Lights gives us every good endowment and every perfect gift coming down from his throne, including His River of Water of Life from the Throne (James 1:17; Revelation 22:1, 17).

Holy, Holy, Holy Father, let Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done on earth as it is in heaven in us. Give us this day our daily Hidden Manna and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not to be tempted to take offense at those who do not know God or his glory of Christ, hurt back when wounded, go into sadness, negativity, or worldly grief, but deliver us from evil, for Thine is the Kingdom, the Power and the Glory now and forever more.
