“I have said this to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world”
~Jesus the Son of God, the Christ, the Anointed One, the Holy One, the Messiah sent for all
I never noticed before the “may have” peace in Christ, for God did his part but we must do our part: come to Christ, yoke, learn and find rest to listen, hear and open the door when Christ comes to be in us with all the fullness of God; all his spiritual holy perfect gifts from our Father of glory. Without Christ you will “have tribulation” (not “may have”) because Jesus finished the work of the Cross, once for all, and is glorified at the right hand of the Father. If we reject taking the right hand of the Father through Jesus, we will have tribulation.
If you choose to stay in the world system, you will have tribulation: “Come out of her, my people, lest you take part in her sins, lest you share in her plagues; for her sins are heaped high as heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities. Render her as she herself has rendered, and repay her double for her deeds: serving MIXED wine (lies mixed with truth)” Revelation 18:4-6
We return to our First Love and receive the Holy Spirit who activates the seed, the Word, we receive in our heart soil, quickens the Word and it grows until our whole spirit and soul and body are leavened with the pure Holy Spirit.
The present world system is like the Nicolaitan’s works God hates, revealed in Revelation 2:5-7, “Remember from what you have fallen [image and likeness of God], repent [change your way of thinking from the world mind to the Mind of Christ], and do the works you did at first” i.e. what the early Christians did: heal the sick, deliver the oppressed of the devil, teach and preach the full gospel of the Cross of Jesus and his Holy Spirit and fire baptism (Luke 3:16) and the Holy One anointing (1 John 2:18-28), so no one will need to be taught, receiving a mixture, for all will know God and his glory through the fire destroying the world’s wisdom ingested, after drinking the holy, pure Spirit of God from Above that forms Christ in you, the hope of glory. The hope of God is not something we wish for but won’t happen as in the world’s depression/despair; hope deferred makes the heart sick, versus hope fulfilled in Christ is a tree of life. Hope is the assurance AND substance of the unseen; we take it by faith for conviction AND evidence of the unseen Love.
When we are born anew of God we don’t see the wind but we know its effects, for we begin to taste and see, hear, touch, smell, sense, or perceive the weighty glory, the brilliant pure light, the flow of the River, the warm embracing liquid love, the still silence alive with presence, the atmosphere change, the softly blanketing peace, the joy bubbling up in us, and the sense of well-being, that nothing is missing, broken or lacking in the awareness of God’s presence; just being with our Father in our innermost spiritual heart, not having to do anything, but willing to be led by his Holy Spirit and only his Spirit.
Once we taste and see, the old wine is no longer good and we welcome the River of water of life that turns into new wine within our new wineskin spirit and soul and body here on earth in Christ and Christ in us.
“We overcome the world by [faith]…The Spirit is the Truth. There are three witnesses, the Spirit, the water, and the blood; these three agree…He who believes in the Son of God has the testimony himself…God gave us eternal life, and this life is IN his Son. He who has the Son has life; he who has not the Son has not life…We know that any one born of God does not sin, but He who was born of God keeps him, and the evil one does not touch him. We know that we are of God [in Christ and Christ in us] and the whole world is in the power of the evil one. And we know the Son of God has come and given us understanding, to know him who is True, in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the True God and eternal life. Little children, keep yourselves from idols [that take the place of God in your heart]” 1 John 5:1-21
