The Greatest Gift Of All

The greatest gift ever given on earth

is the Eternal Father’s gift of the Holy Spirit.

Jesus ministered on earth for three years with the Holy Spirit upon him,

as Son of God, emptying of divinity, saving humanity through the Cross,

through the most amazing sacrificial love, light, Spirit, healing, delivering, setting free, signs, wonders, miracles; the deaf heard, the blind saw, the lame walked,

teaching about God, preaching to repent and receive the kingdom of God as a child,

born again of God, of Living Water and of the Holy Spirit.

The Son of man was crucified, buried, resurrected, ascended and glorified to save us and make intercession for us until we come to Christ and find rest for our souls.

Jesus said it was to our advantage that he leave the earth (John 16:7),

for the Holy Spirit to come

to be with us and in us forever (John 14:16-28)

to help us, comfort, teach, guide us into all truth, bring us into remembrance of God (John 14:26), bear witness to Jesus (John 15:26), convince the world of the sin of unbelief, convince believers of righteousness, judge the ruler of this world (John 16:9-11), advocate, counsel, empower, prune, change, transform and lead us

to do the works of Jesus and even greater things because he went back to our Heavenly Father (John 14:12).

He breathes new life into our spirit and soul and body;

blows like the wind,

consumes like a fire,

helps us to soar like the eagles,

purifies, refines, refreshes, revitalizes, renews our youth, restores, regenerates,

and gives us gifts to heal, work miracles, prophesy, discern spirits, have the gift of faith, words of wisdom, words of knowledge, tongues and interpretation of tongues (1 Cor 12:4-31)

to live embodied, equipped, edified, exhorted, endowed, and empowered to arise and shine,

arise and go proclaim the message God gives us to share by the Holy Spirit.

God pours his Love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit,

comforting the broken hearted

bringing us good news,

opening prison doors and setting captives free,

proclaiming the year of the Lord’s favor

and the day of vengeance for his enemies,

giving us beauty for ashes,

a mantle of praise instead of a faint spirit,

gladness instead of mourning,

joy in the Holy Spirit

as oaks of righteousness,

established, sustained, and kept in Peace that passes all understanding;

built up,

raised up,

given a double portion for all our troubles,

blessed with a new promised land

on earth as it is in heaven.

I can’t imagine a more precious gift,

best friend,

mentor,

powerful movement of God

that we can’t control

but just yield,

surrender,

let go into the wind of God we can’t see

but we experience His presence, flow, and movement in our life;

the Way planned and purposed for us before the foundation of the world,

giving all thanks, honor, blessing, majesty, dominion, praise, worship, and glory to God our Father now and forever. Amen. Hallelujah!

I greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul exults in my God, for he has clothed me with salvation, righteousness, and the white wedding garment; made me a watered garden where the Vine of Christ grows and his spiritual fruit is abundant (Isaiah 61:1-11).

The Holy Spirit causes us to delight in God

and he gives us the deepest desires of our heart:

his glorious presence.
