Holy Spirit is the Comforter, the Helper, the Binder of the brokenhearted, binding us to the heart of Christ Jesus when we cry out to God our Father.
When we can’t go on, Holy Spirit is the power that comes into our weakness,
the sure and steadfast anchor for our soul in the storm
lifting us to the Rock that is higher than us.
Jesus is the Rock we hold to when the waves overwhelm us
or the fire is raging;
the Light that pierces through the darkness.
Jesus is the unchanging Goodness in the sea of ugliness, broken dreams and shattered lives;
the healer of the broken hearted
who gives us his Life and Truth when the enemy takes ours.
“He heals the brokenhearted, and binds up their wounds” Psalm 147:3
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our afflictions, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For as we share abundantly in Christ’s sufferings, so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too…Hope is unshaken…We were so utterly, unbearably crushed that we despaired of life itself. We felt as if we had received a sentence of death; but that was to make us rely not on ourselves but on God who raises the dead” 2 Corinthians 1:3-9
“Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever”
Thank God for Jesus’ finished work of the Cross so that our Father can send the Holy Spirit to be upon, with and in those who believe. Holy Spirit help those who remain in unbelief. Thank God for the Holy Spirit Comforter. When the destroyer thinks he has won, resurrection life comes from the Holy Spirit Comforter.
Abba Father, I ask and thank you for healing and comfort for all those grieving, mourning, and in sorrow for loss. Lord Jesus I ask you to touch them through the Holy Spirit to know you are real and present to the broken hearted. Amen.
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit” Psalm 34:18
“I cry to you for help when my heart is overwhelmed. Lead me to the towering Rock of safety” Psalm 46:1
“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble” Psalm 46:1
“Holy Spirit will keep you in perfect peace as your mind is stayed on Jesus and you trust in God our Father”
“I lift my eyes up to the hills. From whence does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord who made heaven and earth. He will not let your foot be moved, he who keeps you will not slumber or sleep. The Lord is your keeper…The Lord will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life. The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and for evermore” Psalm 121:1-8
