Thanksgiving for the God of Hope

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope” Romans 15:13

The God of peace crushes satan under our feet when we are wise to what is good and guileless as to what is evil (Romans 16:19-20). Do not let the Good of God be spoken of as evil (Romans 14:16). The kingdom of God is righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit (Romans 14:17).  In the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit in you, we are ministers of Christ Jesus in the priestly service of the gospel of God our Father, sanctified by the Holy Spirit (Romans 15:16). In Christ, the Holy Spirit can take our hope and turn it into Christ’s power, authority, confidence, boldness in thought, word and deed, by the power of signs and wonders, by the power of the Holy Spirit (Romans 15:19). All things are possible for those who believe. With men it is impossible, but with God all things are possible; apart from Christ Jesus you can do nothing.

Receive Christ and be aglow in the Spirit…take thought for what is noble, pure, true, just, lovely, excellent, gracious, honorable, worthy of praise (Romans 14:11; Philippians 4:8).

The God of hope does not disappoint us, because God’s love is poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit who is given to believers who become receivers, who TAKE what is freely given to heart and mind, to live, move and have your being in Christ and Christ in you, the hope of glory (Romans 5:5; Colossians 1:27).

The “hope” of Christ is not hope as defined by this world, as wishing; the hope found in Christ is the sure and steadfast anchor of our soul in the tree of life through the finished work of the Cross. Fallen Adam and the unclean spirits of this world are nailed to the cursed tree now and forever in Christ; apart from Christ you are still under their influence. When we come to Christ Jesus we are no longer of satan’s tree or of this world but of the Spiritual Realm of the God our Father. When Christ comes to live in you, you belong to the tree of life in the paradise of God; rooted and grounded in Christ, living in Christ, branches in heavenly places with Christ; Christ in you, the hope of glory.

The God of Hope does not disappoint; the River of His Spirit is a Spirit of fire Power, and Spirit of Love, and of a sound Mind of Christ, pouring forth from the Throne as a River that becomes a fountain of life with Christ in you, Rivers of the Spirit of the Lord, wisdom, understanding, counsel, might, knowledge of God and his glory, reverential awe, wonder, miracles, healing, prophesy, faith, hope, love, righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit; the kingdom of God and his righteousness begin to flow from your spirit and soul and body and life in Christ to this hungry, thirsty, dark world of hopelessness.

“But he who has doubts is condemned…for whatever does not proceed from faith is sin” Romans 14:23

“But let him ask in faith without doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. For that person must not suppose that a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways, will receive anything from the Lord” James 1:6-8

“Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren” James 1:16

“I write this to you about those who would deceive you; but the anointing which you receive from the Father and his Son abides in you, and you have no need that any one teach you; as his anointing teaches you about everything and is true, and is no lie, just as it has taught you, abide in Christ” 1 John 2:26-27

Jesus says, “Abide in Me, and I in you” (John 15:4)

Knowing the Love of Christ and Christ in you, is all the fullness of God working in and through you; the Victory of the Lord on your behalf; the new Source of your life, God makes Christ our wisdom, our righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption (1 Cor 1:30).

“Everyone who has this hope set on Christ purifies himself, even as Christ is pure. Everyone who sins commits lawlessness. Sin is lawlessness. You know that Jesus was revealed to take away our sins, and no sin is in Jesus. Whoever remains in him doesn’t sin. Whoever sins hasn’t seen him and doesn’t know him” 1 John 3:3-6

“I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, if anyone steadfastly believes in Me, he will himself be able to do the things that I do; and he will do even greater things than these because I go to The Father…I will ask the Father and He will give you another Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener and Standby), that He may remain with you forever — the Spirit of Truth, Whom the world cannot receive (welcome, take to heart), because it does not see Him nor know and recognize Him, for He lives with and in believers…the world will not see Me any more, but believers will see Me; because I live you will live also [resurrection lives in Christ and Christ in you]…Now I have told you before it occurs, so that you may believe and have faith in and rely on Me John 14:12-29 AMP classic

“Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father, who loves us and gives us eternal comfort and good hope through grace, comfort your hearts and establish your heart in every good work and word” 2 Thessalonians 2:16-17

1 Response to Thanksgiving for the God of Hope

  1. This a very good message of hope from someone who went through ten years of suicidal depression, lost sister to a car accident, his brother to cancer, and so much more, yet found the God of hope is the answer.
