Highest and Best so you can Rest

We don’t consent to the world’s “new normal”; we choose to be led by the Holy Spirit to God’s Design, Plan and Purpose for our highest and best. Our Heavenly Father does no harm to his creation and created beings; His plans and purposes are not to harm but prosper, giving hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). Jesus fulfilled God’s plans and purposes through the finished work of the Cross to save, heal, deliver and set us free, so we come to Jesus; giving him this fallen, broken world’s ways, thoughts and solutions to problems, because they cause more harm than good. We ask and receive God’s Higher Ways and Thoughts. We ask the Spirit of Truth to guide us into all the truth, as we yield to be led by the Holy Spirit; simple and profound! The Solution to every problem is Jesus; the answer to every question is Jesus; giving up your personal agenda, for God’s Higher Plan and Purpose: a new heaven and new earth where righteousness dwells!

“For through the Spirit, by faith, we WAIT for the hope of righteousness” (Galatians 5:5). “In Christ, you also, who have heard the Word of Truth, the gospel of your salvation, and have believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance UNTIL WE ACQUIRE POSSESSION OF IT, to the praise of his glory” (Ephesians 1:13-14). Paul came to Ephesus and found some disciples. And he said to them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” and they said, “No, we have never even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.” And Paul said to them, “Into what then were you baptized?” They said, “Into John’s baptism.” And Paul said, “John baptized with the baptism of repentance, telling people to believe in the one who was to come after him, that is, Jesus.” On hearing this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul laid his hands upon them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke with tongues and prophesied. There were twelve of them in all (Acts 19:1-7).

John the Baptist said he baptized with water, but Jesus would baptize with the Holy Spirit and fire. Jesus said, “Behold, I send the promise of My Father upon you; but stay in the city, until you are clothed with power from on high” (Luke 24:49). And in Acts 1 we are told by Luke that resurrected Jesus taught for forty days about the kingdom of God, giving commandment through the Holy Spirit to wait for the promise of the Father: John baptized with water, but before many days you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit. “You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be my witnesses… to the end of the earth” (Acts 1:8). They had already received the Holy Spirit when Jesus breathed on them (John 20:22) and before that the 70 had been sent out with authority over sickness and demons (Luke 10:3-19). “Behold, I have given you authority to tread upon scorpions and serpents, and over ALL the power of the enemy; and NOTHING SHALL HURT YOU” Luke 10:19. But Jesus said in 24:49, “WAIT until you are clothed with POWER from on high” so there is seemingly ALWAYS MORE! and we only have to read, believe, receive The Word to take it to heart and begin to work it out in our own lives.

So why did I never hear about this baptism in any of the churches I attended; having the experience when I came to the end of myself, to the end of my personal resources, seeking experts in a crisis, whose prescription was drugs and therapy, that I thankfully rejected and turned to God instead, finding my childhood bible and opening to Matthew and reading for three days, devouring the Word that was pouring new life into me; amazed at what was being revealed to my spirit and soul and body through the Words written on the pages of the New Testament. After three days, fire fell, I was led to get in water and was caught up, whether in the body or not I do not know, but I know when I came to my physical senses, I was changed, knowing God was real and knowing God loved me, began to change everything; starting me on a journey of true faith, not intellectual faith, but whole-hearted, single-minded and single desire to know the Truth, the whole Truth, and nothing but the Truth, so help me God! God is Faithful and True! His Word is Trustworthy and True!

“When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears, and delivers from all your troubles. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers from them ALL…Those who hate the righteous will be condemned. The Lord redeems the life of his servants; none of those who take refuge in him will be condemned” Psalm 34:17-22

How much MORE in the new covenant of Jesus’s Blood? How much MORE after the finished work of the Cross of Jesus? How much MORE after the Holy Spirit and fire baptism of Jesus comes upon you? both the Wisdom and Power of Christ upon you, with you, in you and through you?

I made so many mistakes and went down so many wrong avenues, but the Holy Spirit never left me nor forsook me, and the more sensitive I became to the leading, checking, directing, redirecting, teaching, guiding, counsel and counseling, the quicker I turned from what was false, or a mixture, to pursue the pure, holy, perfect, righteous, just, glorious, victorious, overcoming, conquering Bridegroom King of Glory, the more Holy Spirit purified my heart and refined my soul and cleansed my hands, to raise holy hands and heart to God our Father, to hear the knock, and let the King of Glory enter my gates and door, to commune within, to conquer unbelief and be granted to be seated with Christ in heavenly places while walking in Spirit, in Light, on earth as it is in heaven. God’s desires become our desires! Jesus prays, “Thy kingdom come and Thy will be done in you on earth as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10) and “Keep them in Thy Name; guard them; fulfill My Joy in them; keep them from the evil one; sanctify them in truth; consecrate them in truth; I give them My glory that they may be one even as we are one, I in them and Thou in Me, that they may become perfectly one” (John 17:11-23) and “In that day you will KNOW that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you” (John 14:20) and “Abide in Me and I in you” (John 15:4).  Every prayer of Jesus to God our Father is answered “yes” and we say “amen” to it! The only one who can block or stop Jesus’ prayers from being answered in you is you! Free will is a gift of God our Father; we can either use our free will to deny or reject Jesus, or choose to receive all the fulfilled promises of our Father in Christ and Christ in you.
Ask and receive; seek and find; knock and the Door, Jesus, opens to you! We give thanks to God, ask, and do not doubt, waver or distrust; knowing God is Able! Faith is not demanding God to do your will or do things your way or the world’s way; faith is trusting God’s heart of Compassion and trusting God’s Wisdom and Power, abiding in Christ and Christ in you! “Christ is both the Wisdom and Power of God to those who are called” (1 Corinthians 1:24). “God works ALL things together for our good in those who love God and are called to His Purpose” (Romans 8:28). “All who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God” (Romans 8:14). You did not receive the spirit of slavery or bondage to this world or bondage to elemental spirits of this universe to fall back into fear, but you have received the spirit of sonship, when you cry, “Abba! Father!” (Romans 8:15). God did not give you a spirit of fear; the father of lies, the accuser of the brethren, the enemy of your soul, the thief that comes only to steal, kill and destroy gives you fears, doubts, tribulation, uncertainty, worry, cares of this world, distress and disorders. God our Father gives us Christ’s glorified Spirit of pure grace, redemption, sanctification, wisdom, righteousness, fire, glory, light, holy love, power and a sound mind! “If your eye is sound and full of light, your whole body will be full of light” (Luke 11:33-36). “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in every way and that your body may keep well, even as I know your soul keeps well and prospers” (3 John 2 AMPC).

“I have given them the Words which Thou gavest Me, and they have RECEIVED them and KNOW in truth that I came from Thee; and they BELIEVE You sent Me.” ~Jesus in John 17:8

The Words of Jesus are resurrection life and Spirit! the beginning from the end, the end from the beginning! there is no time nor space in Christ and Christ in you! you continue to live in this world but NOT OF IT (John 17:14-19); sent into the world but not of it, but born again of God, of Spirit, of the kingdom of God and HIS righteousness; apart from Christ there is no kingdom, power, glory or righteousness.

“I have said these Words to you, that IN ME you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world” Jesus in John 16:33

“Because you have kept My Word of patient endurance, I will keep you from the hour of trial coming upon the whole world, to try those who dwell upon the earth” Revelation 3:10

The received, manifested Words of Jesus give you God’s Highest and Best for you! don’t live down to your experiences but live up to the call into Christ Himself! With men it is impossible, but with God all things are possible to those who believe!

  1. Enter the rest of God our Father, in Christ Jesus, as Holy Spirit works with and in you. “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden and I will give you rest. Take My yoke and learn from Me for I am gentle and humble-hearted and you will find rest for your soul” Matthew 11:28-29

  2. God is so faithful, loving, and kind. He knows exactly what we need; our part is definitely to partake. And this Scripture in Matthew, is wonderfully comforting. Thanks for sharing. ♥
