The body either houses the Holy Spirit of God our Father and His Christ, or just the human spirit that is fallen, or unclean spirits of the evil one sent on assignment; hosting demonic or evil spirits that prey on human beings, doing the works of the devil. The body without the spirit is dead; faith without the works of Jesus is dead (James 2:26).
“Truly, I perceive that God shows no partiality, but in every nation, any one who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him, know the Word he sent, the good news of peace by Jesus Christ (he is Lord of all). The Word is proclaimed…how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power; how he went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him” Acts 10:38
Come out of this world, lest you take part in her sins; lest you share in her plagues; lest you are deceived by her sorcery; lest you are complicit in her murdering of innocent people, and the most vulnerable, unborn babies (Revelation 18:1-24).
The walking-dead, apart from Christ, can be possessed; all others can be oppressed, but God our Father can deliver you from the dominion of darkness and transfer you into the kingdom of the Son, where we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins (Colossians 1:13). God the Father makes Jesus the source of your new resurrection life and makes Christ your wisdom, your righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption (1 Corinthians 1:30).
“I appeal to you, brethren, to take note of those who create dissensions and difficulties, in opposition to the doctrine which you have been taught [by the Holy Spirit 1 John 2:26-27]; avoid them. For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites, and by fair and flattering words they deceive the hearts of the simple-minded. For while your obedience is known to all, so that I rejoice over you, I would have you wise as to what is good and guileless to what is evil; then the God of Peace will soon crush satan under your feet. The grace of the Lord be with you…He is able to strengthen you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery which was kept secret for long ages but is now disclosed and through the prophetic writings is made known to all nations, according to the command of the eternal God, to bring about the obedience of the faith — to the only wise God be glory forevermore through Jesus Christ! Amen” Romans 16:17-27
Jesus says, “I am praying for you. I am not praying for the world, but for those You have given to Me, for they belong to You. All things that are Mine are Yours, and all things that are Yours belong to Me; and I am glorified in them. And now I am no more in the world, but you are still in the world…I say these things while I am still in the world, so that My joy may be made full and complete and perfect in you [experience My delight fulfilled in you, that My enjoyment may be perfected in your own souls, that you may have My gladness within you, filling your hearts]. I have given them Your Words (message)… the world hates you because you are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. I do not ask the Father to take you out of the world, but protect you from the evil one. Father sanctify them [purify, consecrate, separate them for Yourself, make them holy] by Truth; Your Word is Truth. Just as You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. And so for their sake and on their behalf I sanctify (dedicate, consecrate) Myself, that they may also be sanctified (dedicated, consecrated, made holy) in the Truth. I also pray for all those who will ever come to believe in (trust in, cling to, rely on) Me through the Word and teaching, that they all may be one just as You, Father are in Me and I in You, that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe and be convinced that You have sent Me. I have given them the glory and honor which You have given Me, that they may be one even as We are one: I in them and You in Me, in order that they may become one and perfectly united…be with Me where I am…that the love which You have bestowed on Me may be in them [felt in their hearts] and that I Myself may be in them” John 17:9-26 AMPC
God pours His Love into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who is given to believers (Romans 5:5). While we were still weak and sinners, Christ died for the ungodly. God showed His Love for us, and now we are justified by His Blood, much more saved by Him from the wrath of God. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of His Son, how much more now are we saved by His Life. We rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received our reconciliation (Romans 5:6-11). “Do not let sin reign in your body, obeying its passions. Do not yield your body to sin as instruments of satan, but yield yourself to God as human beings brought from death to life, and your body to God as instruments of righteousness. For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are no longer under the law but under grace…Now you have been set free from sin…for the wages of sin is death, but the FREE GIFT of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” Romans 6:1-23
Those who receive the abundance of grace AND the free gift of righteousness, reign IN LIFE through the one man Jesus Christ (Romans 5:17). “Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection! Over such the second death has no power but they are priests of God and of Christ, and they shall reign with Him a thousand years” Revelation 20:6
“Do not ignore this one fact, beloved, that WITH THE LORD one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day” 2 Peter 3:8
Apart from Christ, nothing.
“The Spirit and the Bride say, ‘Come.’ And let those who hear say, ‘Come.’ And let those who are thirsty come, let those who desire, take the water of life without price” Revelation 22:17
“If any one thirst, let them come to Me and drink. Those who believe in Me, ‘out of their heart shall flow rivers of living water (the glorified Spirit of Jesus)” John 7:37-39
“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied” Matthew 5:6
Apart from Christ there is death and fear; abide in Christ and Christ in you (John 15:1-26).
“Do not quench the Holy Spirit…May the God of Peace himself sanctify you wholly; and may your spirit and soul and body be kept sound and blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful, and he will do it” 1 Thessalonians 5:19-24
