Replace their lies with the Truth

Prayer of Protection from Enemies (Psalm 64)

Hear my voice, O God, in my complaint; preserve my life from dread of the enemy, hide me from the secret plots of the wicked, from the scheming of evil doers, and whet their tongues like swords, who aim bitter words like arrows, shooting from ambush at the blameless, shooting at him suddenly and without fear. They hold fast to their evil purpose; they talk of laying snares secretly, thinking, “Who can see us? Who can search out our crimes? We have thought out a cunningly conceived plot.” For their inward mind and heart are deep. But God will shoot his arrow at them; they will be wounded suddenly. Because of their tongue he will bring them to ruin; their words used against them; all who see them will wag their heads. Then all men will fear; they will tell what God has wrought against them, and ponder what he has done. Let the righteous rejoice in the Lord, and take refuge in him! Let all the upright in heart, glory! ~Psalm 64:1-10

Psalm 64:9-10 in the Amplified Classic, “And all shall reverently fear and be in awe; and they will declare the Work of God, for they will wisely consider and acknowledge that it is His doing. The uncompromisingly righteous shall be glad in the Lord and shall trust and take refuge in Him; and all the upright in heart shall glory and offer praise”

1 Response to Replace their lies with the Truth

  1. “With every wicked deception directed against those who are perishing, because they refused the love of the truth that would have saved them. For this reason, God will send them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie, in order that judgment will come upon all who have disbelieved the truth and delighted in wickedness” 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12
“Furthermore, since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, He gave them up to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done” Romans 1:28
“He feeds on ashes. His deluded heart has led him astray, and he cannot deliver himself or say, “Is not this thing in my right hand a lie?” Isaiah 44:20
“So they will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths” 2 Timothy 4:4
“I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not” Isaiah 66:4
“And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not” Isaiah 6:9-10
“Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter” Isaiah 5:20
