The first Adam: “The Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life” Genesis 2:7 ESV
The last Adam was sent to die on the Cross to take away the sins of the world, bury the past, resurrect new life, ascend, be glorified seated at the Right Hand of God, sending the Holy Spirit to true believers.
“He breathed on them and said, ‘Receive the Holy Spirit’ ” John 20:22 NIV
Breathe on Me, Breath of God ~ Edwin Hatch (1878)
“Breathe on me, Breath of God, fill me with life anew, that I may love what Thou dost love, and do what Thou wouldst do. Breathe on me Breath of God, until my heart is pure, until with Thee I will Thy will, to do and to endure. Breath on me Breath of God, till I am wholly Thine, until this earthly part of me, glows with Thy fire divine. Breathe on me Breath of God, so shall I never die, but live with Thee the perfect life of Thine eternity.”
The new creation: “Therefore, if any one is in Christ, he is a new creation/creature; the old has passed away, behold, the new has come” 2 Corinthians 5:17 RSV
“And they were filled (diffused through their souls) with the Holy Spirit” Acts 2:4 AMP
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places” Ephesians 1:3 RSV
In Christ, you have heard the Word of Truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believing Jesus, you are sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, guaranteeing your inheritance until you acquire possession of it, praising his glory. Have faith in the Lord Jesus and love toward all the saints (true believers). I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers, that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him, having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power in us who believe, according to the working of his might, which he accomplished in Christ when he raised him from the dead and made him sit at his right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come, and he has put all things under his feet and has made him the head over all things for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all. And you he made alive, when you were dead through the trespasses and sins in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience. Among these we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, following the desires of body and mind, and so we were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind. But God who is rich in mercy, out of the great love with which he loves us, even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up with him, and made us sit with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus Ephesians 1:13-2:6 RSV
Conquer and be granted to eat of the tree of life; conquer and not be hurt by the second death; conquer and be given some of the hidden manna and a white stone with a new name; conquer and keep Jesus’ works until the end and be given power over the nations, ruling with a rod of iron as breaking earthen pots into pieces (Holy Spirit in us makes us holy temples of God; new cities; brides) even as Jesus received power from his Father, and be given the morning star; awaken and conquer and be clad in white garments and Jesus will not blot your name out of the book of life and Christ will confess your name before his Father and before his angels; conquer and be in the pillar of Christ in the temple of God (our body indwelt by the Holy Spirit 1 Cor 3:16, 6:19); never shall God go out of you and Jesus will write the Name of his God, the new city, the Bride, and Christ’s new name on you; conquer and be granted to sit with Christ in heavenly places (Revelation 2:1-3:21)
You are more than conquerors in Christ and Christ in you (Romans 8:37; John 15:4-7)
These seven words, taken by faith through grace of the finished work of the Cross of Christ, make you complete, perfect, lacking nothing, having steadfastly gone through the floods and fires, letting them have their full effect:
“Abide in Me, and I in you” ~Jesus in John 15:4
“The Spirit and the Bride say, ‘Come.’ And let those who hear say, ‘Come.’ And let those who are thirsty come, those who desire take the water of life without price” Revelation 22:17
Come take the River of Water of Life; a continuously flowing, filling, refreshing, renewing breath of life and Spirit of resurrection life. Hallelujah!
