“Escape the defilements of this world through the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” 2 Peter 2:20
Escape the corruption of this world through the Promises granted and fulfilled through Divine Power to partake of divine nature of Christ; HIS glory and excellence; HIS resurrection life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3-4); remembering you are cleansed from old sins; effective and fruitful (1:8-9); never falling answering the calling and election (1:10); re-MIND-ed, re-MEMBER-ing in Christ; established in the Truth (1-12); aroused by remembering what God did in Christ; the finished work of the Cross of Jesus; recalling the things Above (1:15), our minds set on Christ in God; hidden with Christ in God (Colossians 3:1-3).
Come before the Presence in praise and worship and the Presence comes into you; beholding the glory with unveiled face, changing into HIS likeness from one degree of glory to another; for this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit. “The path of the righteous is life” “The fruit of righteousness is a tree of life” “Rightness exalts a nation, but sin destroys it”
“The uncompromisingly righteous enter through the gate of the Lord” Psalm 118:20 AMP C
“Open to me the temple gates of righteousness; I will enter through them and I will confess and praise the lord” Psalm 118:19
Blessed and happy are those who cleanse their garments, cleansed from all unrighteousness in the Blood of the Lamb of God, eating of the tree of life, and entering the gates of the New City, through the narrow gate of RIGHTEOUSNESS found only in Christ (Revelation 22:14; 1 John 1:9; Matthew 7:13; Psalm 118).
Faith growing exceedingly; Love increasing and abounding; holding up with firm faith in patient endurance (2 Thessalonians 1:3-4); the Lord preserves the righteous; the Lord knows how to rescue the righteous from trial; those who are greatly distressed by the licentiousness of the wicked, seeing and hearing the things that “vex” a righteous soul, day after day, with their antichrist, ungodly deeds, corruption, deception, manipulation, lies, and twisted beliefs; enticing unsteady souls with perverted lust and desires, indulging in animal-like instincts that defile, ignorant of God, eyes full of adultery, insatiable for sin, greedy hearts, gone astray, following ungodly influencers, living in error, promising freedom but slaves of corruption, enslaving others; entangle, overpower, make their last state worse than their first; dogs returning to excrement and vomit, swine returning to the mud (2 Peter 2:5-22).
They exchange the glory of God for images; exchanging the truth for lies; worshiping the creation instead of the Creator (Romans 1:18-32).
“Though they know God’s decree that those who do such things deserve to die, they not only do them but approve those who practice them” Romans 1:32
“Since we have these Promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of body and spirit, and make holiness perfect in the fear of God” 2 Corinthians 7:1
“Behold, now is the acceptable time; behold, now is the day of salvation…put no obstacle in any one’s way, so that no fault may be found…by purity, knowledge, forbearance, kindness, the Holy Spirit, genuine love, truthful speech, and the Power of God; with the weapons of righteousness for the right hand and for the left…Do not be mismated with unbelievers. For what partnership have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? What accord has Christ with Be′lial? Or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever? What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; as God said,
“I will live in them and move among them,
and I will be their God,
and they shall be my people.
Therefore come out from them,
and be separate from them, says the Lord…
and I will be Father to you,
and you shall be my sons and daughters,
says the Lord Almighty.” 2 Corinthians 6
“Be perfect, as your Heavenly Father is perfect” ~Jesus in Matthew 5:48
perfect = lacking nothing; mature in Christ; complete in Christ by going THROUGH trials (James 1:2-4); growing up in every way into Christ, the Head of the one Body and one Spirit of God
“Until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ; so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the cunning of men, by their craftiness in deceitful wiles. Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the Head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by every joint with which it is supplied, when each part is working properly, makes bodily growth and upbuilds itself in love…No longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their minds; they are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart; they have become callous and have given themselves up to licentiousness, greedy to practice every kind of uncleanness. You did not so learn Christ!— assuming that you have heard about him and were taught in him, as the truth is in Jesus. Put off your old nature which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and put on the new nature, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness” Ephesians 4:13-24
“Therefore gird up your minds, be sober, set your hope fully upon the grace that is coming to you at the REVELATION of Jesus Christ. As obedient children, do not be conformed to… your former ignorance, but as He who called you is holy, be holy yourselves in all your conduct; since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.” And if you invoke as Father him who judges each one impartially according to his deeds, conduct yourselves with fear throughout the time of your exile. You know that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your fathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot. He was destined before the foundation of the world but was made manifest at the end of the times for your sake. Through him you have confidence in God, who raised him from the dead and gave him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God. Having purified your souls by your obedience to the truth for a sincere love of the brethren, love one another earnestly from the heart. You have been born anew, not of perishable seed but of imperishable, through the living and abiding Word of God” 1 Peter 1:13-23
holy = set apart; consecrated in Truth; sanctified in Truth; Thy Word is Truth (John 17:17) receiving the glory from the Son from the Father (17:22-23)
