The River of Resurrected Glorified Christ

Lyrics: “I’ve got a river of life flowing out of me Makes the lame to walk and the blind to see Opens prison doors, sets the captives free I’ve got a river of life flowing out of me. Spring up, O well, within my soul Spring up, O well, and make me whole Spring up, O well, and give to me That life abundantly. There’s a fountain flowing from the Savior’s side All my sins forgiven in that precious tide Jesus paid the price when for me He died There’s a fountain flowing from the Savior’s side. Spring up, O well, within my soul Spring up, O well, and make me whole Spring up, O well, and give to me That life abundantly.”  ~Music and Lyrics: Louis Casebolt

“Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is that is saying to you, ‘Give me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.” ~John 4:10

“Jesus answered and said to her, “Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.” ~John 4:13-14

“Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me shall not hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst” ~John 6:35

If any one thirst, let him come to Me and drink. 38 He who believes in Me, as the scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart shall flow rivers of living water.’” 39 Now this he said about the Spirit, which those who believed in Him were to receive; for as yet the Spirit had not been given, because Jesus was not yet glorified” ~John 7:37-39

God is Spirit” ~Jesus in John 4:24

“But you are not in the flesh, you are in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Any one who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to Him” ~Romans 8:9

The NEW temple of God is where the Holy Spirit dwells. The NEW Holy Spirit temple WITHIN you have from God (1 Corinthians 3:16-17, 6:19-20; 2 Corinthians 6:14-18, 13:5).

Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren. 17 Every good endowment and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change. 18 Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth that we should be a kind of first fruits of His creatures” ~James 1:16-18

And He who sat upon the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” Also He said, “Write this, for these words are trustworthy and true.” And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give from the fountain of the water of life without payment. He who conquers shall have this heritage, and I will be his God and he shall be my son” Revelation 21:5-7

“coming down out of heaven from God, 11 having the glory of God” ~Revelation 21:11

And I saw no temple in the city, for its temple is the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb. 23 And the city has no need of sun or moon to shine upon it, for the glory of God is its light, and its lamp is the Lamb” ~Revelation 21:22-23

“Then He showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb” ~Revelation 22:1

“the Lord God will be their light” ~Revelation 22:5

“Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and that they may enter the city by the gates” ~Revelation 22:14

“The Spirit and the Bride say, “Come.” And let him who hears say, “Come.” And let him who is thirsty come, let him who desires take the water of life without price” ~Revelation 22:17

Remember not the former things,
    nor consider the things of old.
19 Behold, I am doing a new thing;
    now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?
I will make a way in the wilderness
    and rivers in the desert” ~Isaiah 43:18-19

“Therefore thus says the Lord God:

“Behold, my servants shall eat,
    but you shall be hungry;
behold, my servants shall drink,
    but you shall be thirsty;
behold, my servants shall rejoice,
    but you shall be put to shame;
14 behold, my servants shall sing for gladness of heart,
    but you shall cry out for pain of heart,
    and shall wail for anguish of spirit.
15 You shall leave your name to my chosen for a curse,
    and the Lord God will slay you;
    but his servants he will call by a different name.
16 So that he who blesses himself in the land
    shall bless himself by the God of truth,
and he who takes an oath in the land
    shall swear by the God of truth;
because the former troubles are forgotten
    and are hid from my eyes.

The Glorious New Creation

17 “For behold, I create new heavens
    and a new earth;
and the former things shall not be remembered
    or come into mind” ~Isaiah 65:13-17

drink deeply with delight from the abundance of glory” (Isaiah 66:11) “having the glory of God” (Revelation 21:11).

the water will become fresh. And wherever the river goes every living creature which swarms will live, and there will be very many fish; for this water goes there, that the waters of the sea may become fresh; so everything will live where the river goes” ~Ezekiel 47:8-9

In Christ the old heavens and earth and seas are passed away, the NEW has come; new wine into fresh skin! the NEW glorified Spirit of Christ in you is a well springing up, a river of Living Water, a fountain of the light of life. Drink deeply with delight from the abundance of glory of Risen Christ; the riches of glory in Christ! shining in our hearts as Christ dwells in our hearts by faith (Ephesians 3:17).

“the sound of His coming was like the sound of many waters; and the earth shone with his glory…and behold, the glory of the Lord filled the temple” ~Ezekiel 43:2,5

For it is the God who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of ChristBut we have this treasure in earthen vessels, to show that the transcendent power belongs to God and not to us” ~2 Corinthians 4:6-7

always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodiesso that the life of Jesus may be manifested in our mortal flesh” ~2 Corinthians 4:10-11

giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. He has delivered us from the dominion of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son” ~Colossians 1:12-13

“He has now reconciled in His body of flesh by His death, in order to present you holy and blameless and irreproachable before Him” ~Colossians 1:22

the mystery hidden for ages and generations but now made manifest to His saints. 27 To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. 28 Him we proclaim, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man mature in Christ” ~Colossians 1:26-28

Abide in Me, and I in you” ~Jesus in John 15:4

“So through God you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son then an heir…Have I then become your enemy by telling you the truth?…My little children, with whom I am again in travail until Christ be formed in you!…But as at that time he who was born according to the flesh persecuted him who was born according to the Spirit, so it is now…So, brethren, we are not children of the slave but of the free woman. For freedom Christ has set us free; stand fast therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery” ~Galatians 4:7-5:1

“In demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of GodYet among the mature we do impart wisdom, although it is not a wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are doomed to pass away. But we impart a secret and hidden wisdom of God, which God decreed before the ages for our glorification. None of the rulers of this age understood this; for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. But, as it is written,

“What no eye has seen, nor ear heard,
nor the heart of man conceived,
what God has prepared for those who love him,”

10 God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God. 11 For what person knows a man’s thoughts except the spirit of the man which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is from God, that we might understand the gifts bestowed on us by God. 13 And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual truths to those who possess the Spirit.

14 The unspiritual man does not receive the gifts of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned. 15 The spiritual man judges all things, but is himself to be judged by no one. 16 “For who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ” ~1 Corinthians 2:5-16

until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ; 14 so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the cunning of men, by their craftiness in deceitful wiles. 15 Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into Him who is the Head, into Christ, 16 from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by every joint with which it is supplied, when each part is working properly, makes bodily growth and upbuilds itself in love” ~Ephesians 4:13-16

“Learn Christ!— 21 assuming that you have heard about Him and were taught in Him, as the truth is in Jesus. 22 Put off your old nature which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful lusts, 23 and be renewed in the spirit of your minds, 24 and put on the new nature, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness” ~Ephesians 4:20-24

From now on, therefore, we regard no one from a human point of view; even though we once regarded Christ from a human point of view, we regard him thus no longer. 17 Therefore, IF any one is IN Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, behold, the new has come18 All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to Himself” ~2 Corinthians 5:16-18

“It is finished!”

“Behold, I make ALL things new…It is done!” ~Revelation 21:5-6

“Come to Me that you may have life” ~John 5:40

“He who has the Son has life; he who has not the Son of God has not life” ~1 John 5:12

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly” ~John 10:10

“And by that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all…Therefore, brethren, since we have confidence to enter the sanctuary by the blood of Jesus, 20 by the NEW and living way which He opened for us through the curtain, that is, through His flesh, 21 and since we have a great Priest over the House of God, 22 let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful” ~Hebrews 10:10-23

Having purified your souls by your obedience to the truth for a sincere love of the brethren, love one another earnestly from the heart. 23 You have been born anew, not of perishable seed but of imperishable, through the living and abiding word of God” ~1 Peter 1:22-23

Christ is the Head of the church, His body, and is Himself its Savior. 24 As the church is subject to Christ…that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, 27 that He might present the church to Himself in splendor [in glory], without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish…nourished and cherished, as Christ does the church, 30 because we are members of His body. 31 “For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.” 32 This mystery is a profound one, and I am saying that it refers to Christ and the church” ~Ephesians 5:23-32

betrothed you to Christ to present you as a pure bride to her one Husband” ~2 Corinthians 11:2

“Come to Me…yoke to Me and learn from Me and you will find rest for your soul” ~Matthew 11:28-30

The two shall become one flesh.”…he who is united to the Lord becomes one Spirit with Him” ~1 Corinthians 6:16-17

“The Spirit and the Bride say, “Come.” And let him who hears say, “Come.” And let him who is thirsty come, let him who desires take the water of life without price” ~Revelation 22:17
