Give Us This Day Our Daily Bread — Summer Setting

What is your most treasured possession (not counting loved ones)? If you could have anything for a gift, what would it be? Last Christmas Alan and I decided to share with each of our children and grandchildren what we treasure more than any other earthly possession: a copy of the Bible. Because many of them […]

Give Us This Day Our Daily Bread — Summer Setting

Thank you for sharing your Christmas letter to your children and grandchildren Kathi @ Summer Setting!

The Gift of The Word of God is the Greatest Gift! The Gift of the Word, made flesh in Jesus, now Christ formed by the Holy Spirit in those born again of God of His Spirit, like a river of fresh Water of Life pouring down from the Throne of Risen Christ at the Right Hand of God, our Father through Jesus, continuing eating and drinking daily of the Word of God, giving us our daily Living Bread and Living Water; new resurrection Life and Spirit; the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead dwelling in our body as the new temple of God where Holy Spirit dwells within from God (1 Corinthians 3:16-17, 6:19-20; 2 Corinthians 6:14-18, 13:5), so the glory of God can return to your body, so you no longer have to fall short of the glory living in sin, and a life-long bondage to the fear of death (Hebrews 2:15).

Continuing in the Word, KNOWING the Truth, the TRUTH makes you free. IF the Son makes you free you are free indeed! For freedom the Son has set you free, so do not submit again to a yoke of bondage or slavery, but be led by the Spirit, through the Word of Truth and Life of God, brought forth of God’s Will by the Word of Truth (James 1:16-18); Thy Will be done on earth AS it is in heaven; given every spiritual blessing of the new heavens found in Christ (Ephesians 1:3). In Christ, God accomplished all things, and gives us all things with Christ in you (1:3-14); take possession of all God the Father gives you in Christ and Christ in you!

“He who take Refuge IN ME shall possess the land and shall inherit My Holy Mountain” (Isaiah 57:13b) “Thus says the High and Lofty One, Who inhabits eternity, Whose Name is Holy: ‘I dwell in High and Holy Place AND with him who is of a contrite and humble spirit, to REVIVE the spirit of the humble and REVIVE the heart of the contrite…for from Me proceeds the Spirit, and I made the Breath of Life” Isaiah 57:15-16

Resurrected Jesus breathed on them and said, “RECEIVE the Holy Spirit” John 20:22

The Gift of the incarnation of God in the body of Jesus,  is the Gift that keeps on giving, and through the finished work of the Cross of Christ, we are able to die to sin and come alive to righteousness through FAITH (1 Peter 2:24); the True Shepherd guarding and guiding our soul to His springs of Living Water of His Word and Spirit (Revelation 7:17), that we come and take without price (Revelation 22:17) for Jesus paid the FULL price so we can be saved, redeemed, justified, just as if we had never sinned or fell short of the glory; healed, delivered, born again anew from Above;

set free to yoke with Risen Christ, learn from Him and find rest for our soul, baptized INTO Christ putting on Christ (Galatians 3:27); clothed with Christ, clothed with power from on High (Luke 24:49), the fire baptism of Jesus kindling the old (Luke 12:49; Matthew 3:11-12) and forming the new within; given a double portion and everlasting joy, our soul exalting in the Lord (Isaiah 61:7-11), made a new watered garden where the imperishable Seed of the Word (1 Peter 1:22-23) can take root and grow in your soul (Ephesians 3:17-20; Colossians 2:6-7; Matthew 13:1-23) until it is a tree of life of the Vine of Christ, tended by the Vinedresser who prunes old branches and nurtures, nurtures, and cherishes the new branches that fruit Christ that remains (John 15:1-16); His light (Ephesians 5:9), His righteousness (Philippians 1:11), and His Spirit (Galatians 5:22)!

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  He was in the beginning with God; all things were made through Him, and without Him was not anything made that was made. In Him was [is and is to come] Life, and this Life is the light of men. This light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome itThe True Light that enlightens every man was coming into the world.  He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, yet the world knew Him not. He came to His own home, and His own people received Him not. But to ALL who RECEIVE Him, who believe in His Name, He GIVES POWER to become children of God; who are born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but OF GodAnd the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth; we have beheld his glory, glory as of the only Son from the FatherAnd from HIS FULLNESS receive grace upon grace” John 1:1-16

The Living Word now, Risen Christ Jesus in all His Manifest Glory, reflecting the Majestic Glory of the Father, comes through the written Words inspired by the Holy Spirit, Who opens our understanding, giving us pure Wisdom from Above, certain and sincere, the Spirit of Wisdom AND revelation of the Knowledge of God and His glory of Risen Christ, enlightening the eyes of our heart, enlightening Understanding to KNOW our calling, our inheritance, and the immeasurable greatness of His Power in us who BELIEVE by the working of God’s Might accomplished IN CHRIST, when resurrected from the dead and seated at the Right Hand of the Father, made HEAD of the one Body of God, and filling His Bride, His Church, His Body on earth AS it is in heaven, with ALL of Risen Christ to give glory to God (Ephesians 1:17-23)! The Father gives us ALL THINGS with Risen Christ (Romans 8:32b). The Father says, “ALL that is Mine is yours” (Luke 15:31).

The “baby Christian” drinks spiritual milk, but it goes right through him! But those who mature in Christ chew on the “meat” of the Word and it becomes manifest in you, to give glory to God our Father and His Risen Christ! “O the depth of the Wisdom and Riches and Knowledge of God!” Romans 11:33
