Ties that Bind

What blinds us, binds us; only Christ can remove the veil.

“Such is the confidence we have through Christ toward God…not in a written code but in the Spirit; for the written code kills, but the Spirit gives life. Now if the dispensation of death, carved in letters of stone, came with such splendor that the Israelites could not look at Moses’ face because of its brightness, will not the dispensation of the Spirit be attended with greater splendor? For if there was splendor in the dispensation of condemnation, the dispensation of righteousness far exceeds it in splendor. Indeed what once was splendor has come to have no splendor at all, because of the splendor that surpasses it…Since we have such hope, we are very bold, NOT LIKE MOSES who put a veil over his face so the Israelites wouldn’t see THE END OF THE FADING SPLENDOR. Their minds were HARDENED; for to THIS DAY the same VEIL REMAINS UNLIFTED, because ONLY THROUGH CHRIST IS THE VEIL TAKEN AWAY…a veil lies over their minds; but when you TURN to the Lord the veil is removed. NOW the Lord is the Spirit…and we all with UNVEILED face, beholding the glory of the Lord are being CHANGED into his likeness from one degree of glory to another; for this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit. Therefore we do not lose heart. We renounce all that is antichrist…the gospel is veiled only to those who are perishing. In their case the god of this world has BLINDED the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the likeness of God…Let light shine out of darkness…shine in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the presence of Christ. We have this treasure in earthen vessels to show that the transcendent power belongs to God…The life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies… in our mortal flesh…He who raised Lord Jesus raises us also with Jesus and bring us into his presence” 2 Corinthians 3:4-4:15

Only Christ can present you to the Father; Holy Spirit, sent from God, forms Christ in you.

“When your eye is sound, your whole body is full of light; but when not sound, your body is full of darkness. Therefore be careful lest the light in you be darkness. If then your whole body is full of light, having no part dark, it will be wholly bright, as when a lamp with its rays gives you light” Luke 11:33-36

“Bear witness…to open their eyes, that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in Me”  ~glorified Jesus

“Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will give you light” Ephesians 5:14

“Be sure of this, that no fornicator or impure man, or one who is covetous or an idolater has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for it is because of these things that the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not associate with them, for once you were in darkness, but now you are light in the Lord; walk as children of light (for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true), and learn what is pleasing to the Lord. Take no part in works of darkness, but instead expose them. For it is a shame to even speak of the  things they do in secret” Ephesians 5:3-13

Only you can decide to turn from the world teaching: a mixture of good and evil, light and darkness, truth mixed with lies, to the Wisdom from Above that is all true and no lie, all light and no dark, all good and no evil. Only Christ can unveil you and give you light so you can see the Truth; only the Holy Spirit and fire can keep you in Christ and Christ in you. Only the Wisdom and Power of God can keep you in Spirit and in Truth; only keeping the Words of Christ keeps you from the hour of trial coming on the whole world, to try those who dwell upon the earth (Revelation 3:10).

Both the Word and the Spirit is necessary; Christ is both the Wisdom and Power of God. The Living Words Jesus gives us are “spirit and life” and make us clean so we can abide in Christ and Christ in you (John 1:4-5, 9, 12, 16; John 6:63; John 15:3-4). The Holy Spirit gives us remembrance of Jesus’ Words and teaches us everything we need to know about God and his glory of Christ, the mystery of Christ so we can steward the glory. Only Holy Spirit can keep you on the Vine of Christ with the Vinedresser, the Father; kept by the power of the Holy Spirit and holy fire that destroys what comes against you to destroy Christ in you.
