Jesus told us to put our hand to the plow and not look back, even as Lot’s wife was told to not look back but she did and turned to a pillar of salt.
Jesus told us the thief ALWAYS comes to steal and kill and destroy but He comes to give life and life abundant and full (John 10:10).
Now if you ask and receive Christ in you, He teaches you to abide in Him (1 John 2:27) for as many as are baptized into Christ have put on Christ (Galatians 3:27) as individual members of His one resurrected Body (1 Corinthians 12:27) by His Spirit given to you; pressing forward in the upward call of God in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:13-14); maturing in Christ in the NEW covenant under His Blood, Water, and Spirit, the three witnesses in you; the testimony of Jesus abiding in you (1 John 5:1-10); the testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of Prophesy (Revelation 19:10).
“For behold, the day comes, burning like an oven, when all the arrogant and all evildoers will be stubble; the day that comes shall burn them up, says the Lord of hosts, so that it will leave them neither root nor branch. 2 But for you who fear My Name the sun [Risen Son] of righteousness shall rise, with healing in its wings. You shall go forth leaping like calves from the stall. 3 And you shall tread down the wicked, for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet, on the day when I act, says the Lord of hosts” Malachi 4:2-3
“He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man; 38 the field is the world, and the good seed means the sons of the kingdom; the weeds are the sons of the evil one, 39 and the enemy who sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the close of the age, and the reapers are angels. 40 Just as the weeds are gathered and burned with fire, so will it be at the close of the age. 41 The Son of Man will send His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all causes of sin and all evildoers, 42 and throw them into the furnace of fire; there men will weep and gnash their teeth. 43 Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear” Matthew 13:37-43
“And we have the Prophetic Word made more sure. You will do well to pay attention to this as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts” 2 Peter 1:19
“I myself have received Power from My Father; 28 and I will give [you] the morning star. 29 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches” Revelation 2:27-29
“Having the glory of God, its radiance like a most rare jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal…And I saw no temple in the city, for its temple is the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb. 23 And the city has no need of sun or moon to shine upon it, for the glory of God is its light, and its lamp is the Lamb…Then he showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal…I Jesus have sent my angel to you with this testimony for the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, the bright morning star.” 17 The Spirit and the Bride say, “Come.” And let him who hears say, “Come.” And let him who is thirsty come, let him who desires take the water of life without price” Revelation 21:11b-22:17
“Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you? 17 If any one destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him. For God’s temple is holy, and that temple you are” 1 (Corinthians 3:16-17). “Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, which you have from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body” (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).
“For it is the God who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the Glory of God in the face [presence] of Christ. 7 But we have this Treasure in earthen vessels, to show that the transcendent power belongs to God and not to us
It has never been more clear, Jesus said, “The thief will ALWAYS come to steal and kill and destroy, but I came to give you life and life more full and abundant” (John 10:10). Jesus said, “Ask and receive, seek and find, knock and the Door will open to you” (Matthew 7:7).
Stop listening to the world and start listening to the Spirit of God the Father and Son, the Holy Spirit (Revelation ch 2-5); listening to the Word of God, Jesus, and the Spirit of God, the sharp two-edged Sword of the Spirit of the Words of Jesus (Hebrews 4:12) that slay evil, divide you from evil, separate you from evil, and unite you to Risen Christ Jesus, unite you to God our Abba Father through Jesus, unite you to the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:17) who works in you greater than you can ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).
Stop looking BACK and start looking UP!
Get your mind and thoughts out of the fallen first Adam and into the mind and thoughts of Risen Christ Jesus.
“IF then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. 3 For you have died, and your life is hid with Christ in God. 4 When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.
5 Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: fornication, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. 6 On account of these the wrath of God is coming.[a] 7 In these you once walked, when you lived in them. 8 But now put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and foul talk from your mouth. 9 Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old nature with its practices 10 and have put on the new nature, which is being renewed in Knowledge after the image of its Creator. 11 Here there cannot be Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scyth′ian, slave, free man, but Christ is all, and in all.
12 Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassion, kindness, lowliness, meekness, and patience, 13 forbearing one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. 14 And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. 15 And let the Peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in the one Body. And be thankful. 16 Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly, teach and admonish one another in all Wisdom, and sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs with thankfulness in your hearts to God. 17 And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him” Colossians 3:1-17
The Will of God is to rejoice ALWAYS, ask in prayer ALWAYS, give thanks to God ALWAYS, not quenching the Holy Spirit, and the God of Peace HIMSELF will sanctify you wholly; keeping your spirit AND soul AND body sound and blameless for the second physical coming of Jesus. God is Faithful and He will do it (1 Thessalonians 5:16-24); keeping you in His excellence and glory, in His resurrection life and Spirit, in His godliness and holiness, and keeping you from the corruption of this world through His precious and very great Promises (2 Peter 1:3-4); keeping you from the hour of trial coming upon the whole world to try those who dwell on the earth (Revelation 3:10). In the world you will have tribulation but in Christ you can have Peace for He already overcame this world (John 16:33).
Seek FIRST the kingdom of God and HIS righteousness and all of Risen Christ Jesus will be given to you: righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit within from God (Matthew 6:33; Romans 14:17; 1 Corinthians 6:19).
“Examine yourselves, to see whether you are holding to your faith. Test yourselves. Do you not realize that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you fail to meet the test!” 2 Corinthians 13:5
“Abide in Me, and I in you…IF you abide in Me and My Words abide in you, ask and receive to give glory to our Father…and I will give you My Joy so your joy can be full and complete” ~Jesus in John 15:5,7,11
Stop looking to the world for peace, it is unable to give you what Jesus can only give you. “Peace I leave with you; My Peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid” ~Jesus in John 14:27
Stop looking back to the old covenant and human traditions, for the NEW creation is in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17).
“Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren. 17 Every good endowment and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change. 18 Of His own will He brought us forth by the Word of Truth [Jesus] that we should be a kind of first fruits of His creatures” James 1:16-18
“From now on, therefore, we regard no one from a human point of view; even though we once regarded Christ from a human point of view, we regard Him thus no longer. 17 Therefore, if any one is in Christ, he is a NEW creation; the old has passed away, behold, the new has come. 18 All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to Himself” 2 Corinthians 5:16-18
Stop looking back and look up and move forward in the NEW creation in Christ and Christ in you, for in Christ you are not destined for wrath (1 Thessalonians 5:9) as those who refuse the inheritance of the kingdom of Christ, deceived by empty words, as the wrath of God is coming upon the “sons of disobedience” (Ephesians 5:3-6), those who refuse to humble themselves, repent, turn from the world of sin to be delivered from the dominion of darkness and transferred into the kingdom of the Son (Colossians 1:13) turn and be healed (John 12:38-40; Acts 28:26-29) in the kingdom of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit (Romans 14:17) and the Holy Spirit in you, having come to Jesus and eagerly receiving His Words, Sayings, and Teaching, taking them to heart, the imperishable Seed of the Living and Abiding Word of God that remains forever (1 Peter 1:22-23,25) taking the “married” Name above every other name that can be named in heaven and on earth as your new name under the NEW “marriage” covenant between Father and Son and between the Son and His pure betrothed bride, the pure churches who do not conform to this world as the harlot, beast, and false prophets do, but hear what the Spirit says and does it through the Wisdom that comes from Above, not the world’s wisdom that is earthly, unspiritual, and devilish (James 3:15-17).
“And the harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace” James 3:18
Risen Jesus, the Christ, is the God of Peace Himself who crushes satan under your feet (Romans 16:20) and is able to keep your spirit and soul and body sound and blameless, when you reject the lies of the enemy and discern God’s Truth [Jesus is the Truth of God, the Word of Truth and the Spirit of Truth] from the thief who always comes to steal and kill and destroy lives. The world is listening to the “thief” but the pure betrothed bride to her One Husband (2 Corinthians 11:2b), Risen Christ the Word and the Spirit of God, listens to Him, and receives His Faith in our Father that pleases God, receiving conviction, evidence of the unseen, substance and assurance (Hebrews 11:1,6); knowing Christ in you (2 Corinthians 13:5), therefore knowing God our Father, eternal life (John 17:3).
“Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My Word and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life; he does not come into judgment, but HAS PASSED from death to life” ~Jesus in John 5:24
Therefore, do not look back, keep moving forward and upward in Christ, the NEW creation!
